IBCCI Meets the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers
The report on the closed-door meeting of the President, office bearers, and MG committee members of IBCCI with Shri D.V Sadanand Gowda Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, held on Monday 11th November 2019, at Hotel Sai Palace Andheri
We had one more milestone in IBCCI when the Honourable Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr. Sadanand Gowda, accepted our invitation to meet with the IBCCI office bearers and the industrialists and businessmenin our Bunts community.
The president, along with office bearers & directors, swung into action & organized a small closed-door meeting at Hotel Sai Palace, Andheri, at 12:30 PM on 11th November 2019. In spite of our last-minute call, some 40 members attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by our president, Shri K.C. Shetty. Our honorable guest Shri D.V. Sadanand Gowda was introduced to the audience by Shri P.K. Shetty, Advocate.
The welcome address was given by our president, Mr. K.C. Shetty. All the members present were individually introduced to the union minister. The union minister in his speech mentioned the various steps taken by his government to bring the economy on track. The welcome address by our president... He was briefed about the future plans & activities of IBCCI, which he assured to support in all respects. He also assured the members of IBCCI that he would do everything possible at his command to solve the problems faced by the members
He also assured the members of IBCCI that his door is always open to the members, as they are welcome to visit his office/home any time in Delhi. The members appreciated this kind gesture of the minister towards the members of IBCCI. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks.

INDUSTRIAL TOUR TO BADDI By IBCCI
IBCCI (Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry) recently organized an Industrial tour to Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, for Bunts Entrepreneurs and Professionals. It gave an opportunity to Bunts entrepreneur to learn the work ethics and best business practices of renowned entrepreneurs.
The tour began on 10th January 2019, with visit to M/s. Suvidha Appliances, manufacturer of domestic mixer and grinders owned by Mr. Karunakar M. Shetty. Spread over the area of 5 acres, the production line is run mostly by automated machines and employees over 800 people.
The second tour was made to M/s. Havells India Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of switches and switch gears in the country. Havells is largely dependent on automated machines and in-house product components. The implementation of S.O.P. is the secret of their success.
The following day began with the visit to the chemical plant o M/s. KhuraOleon Chemicals Ltd. which is owned by M/s. Khurana Group. This plant is the manufacturer of the chemical intermediate named Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA), a parent element for the entire detergent manufacturing industry in India. Hindustan Unilever and Procter & Gamble are among its major buyers.
The tour was concluded with a final visit to M/s. Parishram Appliances owned by Mr. Pandurang Shetty. This is the primary manufacturer of mixers for Bajaj Electricals and Usha Electric Co. etc. With all the parts and equipment produced in-house, this firm’s operations are conducted with effective following S.O.P.
